The device (1) has a printing device (2) for applying a punching force, and a tool assembly (3) consisting of a stamper, a blank holder, and a die for creation of perforation in a workpiece (5) i.e. kinematic flange of a vehicle axle. The tool assembly comprises a pressure apparatus that allows releasable fixing of the tool assembly and the workpiece with regard to each other by generation of necessary holding force. The pressure apparatus and the printing device are executed independent of each other. An independent claim is also included for a method for manufacturing a perforation in a workpiece.
