The method involves moving together two tool portions (110,120) of a tool device to a defined distance. A carrier layer (10) is arranged in former tool portion and a decorative layer (20) is arranged in the latter tool portion, such that an intermediate space is partially formed between a cover layer of the decorative layer and the carrier layer. A pressure medium is supplied to inflatable sealing cushions (220,221,222) of the tool device. The sealing cushions are impinged with a predetermined sealing pressure, such that the sealing cushions take an impinging state for sealing the intermediate space. An independent claim is included for a device for manufacturing a cover part with a carrier layer, a decorative layer and a foam layer.
