The energy-saving jacket has a cylindrical hollow pipe that is arranged concentrically around a cylinder. The jacket main portion is made up of metal. The outside of the cylinder is thermally insulated. The spacing between cylinder walls is set in range of 20-30 mm based on the diameter of the cylinder. The spacing between the cylinder walls is larger, if the diameter of the cylinder is large. The height of the jacket main portion is varied based on the cylinder height.
