The container has a light source device which continuously emits light towards an output device. A control device is provided for influencing light emission of the light source device. The transmission of emitted light towards the output device is influenced by the control device, such that the light is transmitted towards the output device in two different states. Independent claims are included for the following: (1) the output device; and (2) a method for operating the liquid container.
