The hip joint socket insertion instrument has a handle bar (2), where a receiving socket and an instrument handle (8) are provided at the distal end portion and proximal end portion of the handle bar respectively. An impact plate element (14) is designed separately for the handle bar. The impact plate element is engaged with the handle bar at one or different handle bar positions (12) for an impact force transmission. The number of handle bar positions for engaging the impact plate element are predefined in the handle bar, particularly in the range of the instrument handle.
