The human protection equipment has a positioning device that is formed as piston-cylinder-arrangement (8) for a front opening hood of a vehicle. The positioning device is attached to the front opening hood with distance to a swivel axis of the front opening hood. The passage (15) is arranged in a cylinder (11), such that this passage is closed by a piston (9) in a position, which corresponds to the position of the maximum lifted front opening hood. The piston is moved against the pressure of the compressed gas into a position releasing the passage, when affected by the person on the hood.
