The process comprises casting a first metallic component and a second metallic component (4), placing the first metallic component in a casting mold, encapsulating a longitudinal portion of the first component using a liquid melt, and removing a composite component after cooling of the melt of the casting mold. The first component is provided with openings (6) through which the melt flows. The opening is arranged near an end of the first component and over a periphery of the first component. The process comprises casting a first metallic component and a second metallic component (4), placing the first metallic component in a casting mold, encapsulating a longitudinal portion of the first component using a liquid melt, and removing a composite component after cooling of the melt of the casting mold. The first component is provided with openings (6) through which the melt flows. The opening is arranged near an end of the first component and over a periphery of the first component. A core is inserted into the first component, extends from within the first component to an end of the second component, and is formed in a portion of an inner wall of the second component, before casting. A first longitudinal portion of the core extends from the inside of the first component. A second longitudinal portion of the core extends beyond the end of the first component, and is opposite to longitudinal portion. The casting is light metal alloy casting. The second component is cast by gravity, low-pressure and/or high pressure die casting.
