The method involves determining difference between two residue coatings, where a part of non-supplied partial applications (Tx, Ty, Tz) is passed from one feed device (6) to another feed device (5) if one of the residue coatings is larger than another residue coating. The transfer of the part of the partial applications is made from the former feed device to the latter feed device under the condition such that conveying of the parcels over the feed devices is terminated in the supply units at the same time and/or approximate time.
