The method involves arranging a first display unit (22), a receiver (31) and a decryption unit in a transmission device (19). The receiver is provided with a sensor unit such as camera (32). The updatable information is visually displayed on the display unit in coded form, is optically detected by the sensor unit, and is decrypted by the decryption unit. The operating and/or control information are displayed on the first display unit. The decrypted information are displayed and uncoded at a display panel of the receiver.
