The windowpane structure (1) comprises a windowpane with a viewing element having electrochromic properties, and a power connector, which is provided on the viewing element for power supply of the electrochromic viewing element. A control unit is provided for adjusting the tinting of the electrochromic viewing element. The electrochromic viewing element is formed as an electrochromic glass- or plastic pane. A solar generator is provided with multiple solar cells that are arranged in the roof area of the motor vehicle. An independent claim is included for a method for preparing a windowpane structure.
