A half-wrought material (10) containing magnesium alloy and a magnesium fire-protection additive is provided. The half-wrought material is melted in a dosing oven (11). The melt (13) from the dosing oven is driven off over a heated gutter (15) and filled into sand casting form(s) (14). The melt is solidified and the conservation from the sand casting form is removed. Thus, casting of conservations from magnesium alloy is carried out.
