The method involves covering an internal cap layer (4) by an external cap layer (5) from outside. Proportion of migrationable softener in the internal cap layer is selected such that balancing of softener portions in the internal and external cap layers takes place by migration of a part of the softener from the internal cap layer to the external cap layer during vulcanization and to a smaller section after vulcanization. Balancing of the softener proportions provides a resulting tread cap (3) with specific shore hardness A-value.
