The furniture piece has a reversed U-shaped carrier element (2) arranged above a piece of a furniture surface (1) of a railing. An edge-side of a wall element (4) is formed in a groove (3) and vertically attached to the piece of the furniture surface. The carrier element is provided with horizontal and vertical carrier parts that are formed in the furniture surface. A corner part (5) is arranged between the horizontal and vertical carrier parts. The wall element and the groove are formed at the horizontal and vertical carrier parts.
