The steering system (1) has an electric servomotor (7) for generating a steering movement of the supporting servo torque, and a control unit for actuating a servomotor. A rotor position sensor of control unit is directly connected to an electronic processing device, to detect the actual rotational position of the rotor of the servomotor. The rotor position sensor and the electronic processing device in a common housing are arranged on the circuit board.
