The device (1) has a pneumatic spring blank (2) that is determined to be closed by a lid vulcanization mold (6) in which each end is provided with an annular contour insert (7). The cover and contour insert having complementary conical surfaces (8) are adapted in specific shape during vulcanization. The conical sealing surface (4) of a pneumatic spring indication bulge (3) in the sealing region is supported on the lid. The emerging material expulsion through sealing gaps (10) in the joint region between a cover (5) and contour insert is performed and recorded in a cavity.
