The switch (10) has an electromechanical switch device (16) and lighting elements (20, 22-24) arranged in a housing (12). A control element (28) comprises a lighting element arranged behind a luminous search icon (52) and another lighting element arranged behind other luminous search icons (54-56). The control element is made of two plastic materials such as polycarbonate materials, and firmly bonded and jointless-connected with one another, where one of the plastic materials is opaque and exhibits search symbol and the other plastic material is transparent and exhibits function symbol. The switch is selected from one of keyboard, slider or rocker.
