The profile (10) has a mounting part (11) for connection to a dump body and provided with a running rail (12) for retaining a dumper folding top. A hollow channel (14) is arranged between the mounting part and the rail to receive a traction cable for the dumper top. A cable channel (16) is arranged between the hollow channel and the mounting part. The rail comprises a rectangular profile with a slit-like opening (12a) that is delimited by a pair of opposed flanges (12b), where the slit-like opening forms a rolling surface (17) for rollers (31) of the dumper top.
