The band (1) has a force application element (6) at one end (5). A rectangular cross-sectional area provided in a tape region (3) formed at the end. A force application element has rounded or rotationally symmetric cross-sectional area. Two flat clamping band halves (2) are attached to the tape region. A force introduction region is provided in a peripheral surface (7) of the force application element. The clamping band halves are pressed by a pressing element (9) in the force introduction region to the peripheral surface of the force application element. The pressing element is made of a fiber-reinforced plastic composite material.
