The method involves identifying a suspended load by a detection unit. A storage unit (2) is provided for storing non-navigable driving ranges (10) and/or driving mode operating parameters (7) of the truck based on type of load. A control computer (1) is provided for recording picked up load, and the recorded picked up load is stored in the storage unit, when driving mode operating parameters of the truck are determined.
