The pad (100) has a support layer (1) comprising a cleaning textile layer (3) with a free pliable cleaning surface (16), and an interposed layer arranged between an adhesive layer (6) and the textile layer. A small pressure-sensitive adhesive seal allows a pressed-on to the solid surface cleaning pad to be pulled by a screwdriver. Another adhesive layer (8) has a permanent adhesive layer (18) facing away from a rear face of the support layer. A foil portion (5) e.g. metal foil, and the permanent adhesive layer are partially transparent or formed translucent in nature.
