The braking device has a brake disk (4), which is connected with a shaft (3) of an electric motor (1) in a torque-proof manner, and a slotted elastic clamping ring (5), which is fixed in a spring-pretensioned position by a detachable blocking part (7). A flexible clamping part (8) is fixed between the brake disk and the clamping ring arranged opposite to the brake disk. The clamping part is flexibly deformed by detaching the blocking part and enabled clamping movement of the clamping ring.
