The fork has an inner pipe (6) guided into an outer pipe (5) in a sliding manner. A fork strut (4) is connected with a fork bridge (2) and with an axle carrier (3). The outer- and/or inner pipes are connected with the fork bridge and/or the axle carrier in a path of magnet impulse weld. The fork strut is closed in a region of a strut end by a magnet pulse welded joint (10). The outer- and inner pipes, the fork bridge and the axle carrier are made of different combinations material e.g. aluminum and steel. The inner pipe is occupied with a lubricating layer. The inner pipe is chromium plated.
