The device (1) has a carrier (3) connectable at a side of an airbag covering (2) in a motor car, where the airbag covering is mountable at the carrier. The carrier defines a cavity between an airbag module (4) and the airbag covering. The airbag module is mountable at the carrier. An organic sheet (10) is connected with the carrier and comprises a breaking geometry (A), which is formed such that the organic sheet is mountable between the carrier and the airbag module. The organic sheet forms an injection molded part together with the carrier and a fastening collar (3a). An independent claim is also included for a method for manufacturing a structure component device.
