The device (1) has a tensioner housing which is pivotally mounted by a slide bearing about the axis (4) of a drive wheel (5) on a machine housing (3). Two tensioning rollers (6,7) are provided on the belt in the circumferential direction before and behind the drive wheel with bias force. The tensioning arm is movably mounted against the force of a spring unit in the tensioner housing. The tension roller (6) is mounted on a tensioning arm, and the other tension roller (7) is stationarily supported on the tensioner housing. An independent claim is included for an electric machine.
