The method involves providing the component of a fiber-reinforced thermoplastic structure with a loop tongue (1). The component with the loop tongue or only in the area of the loop tongue, is heated to soften the thermoplastic material. The loop tongue is folded with a molding element so that a loop is formed and the end of loop tongue is formed on a support surface or component is stored. The end of the loop tongue is pressed on the support surface so that a cohesive connection is produced. The loop-shaped load introduction element and/or the entire component are cooled. An independent claim is included for a device for producing loop-shaped load introduction element.
