The device (1) has a conveyors (5) arranged parallel to each other at a carrier (3) and attached to a selection device (7) i.e. camshaft (19), and a positioning device (9), where the selection device is adjusted between different positions. One of the conveyors is selected based on the position of the selection device and brought into effective connection with the positioning device. The selected conveyor is adjusted transverse to a conveying direction (I) by the positioning device. The selection device is rotated around a rotational axis (D) that extends transverse to the conveying direction. An independent claim is also included for a production line.
