The machine (1) has a control device (50) and an acceleration sensor (90), where the control device is connected with the acceleration sensor. The acceleration sensor is designed to provide a sensor signal to the control device. A display device (60) is connected with the control device and designed to display information about an operating state of the hand-held power tool. The control device controls light intensity of the display device in dependence of the sensor signal of the acceleration sensor.
