The method involves modifying energization of an electromotor i.e. guidance motor (7), for generation of a desired noise i.e. warning noise, for perception of a vehicle in traffic such that change of engine shaft revolution of the electromotor lies within a defined bandwidth, where the change of engine shaft revolution results from modification of the energization. The change of the energization is performed for noise generation based on condition and/or characteristics of the electromotor and/or the vehicle. The electromotor is designed as a drive motor for a traction drive of a hybrid vehicle or electric vehicle.
