The device (100) has a pressing plate moved between an engaging position and a disengaging position for actuation of the device relative to housing (102) in an extending direction of a rotational axis. A swingable cup spring (104) loads the pressing plate and couples a disk with friction linings and an actuator. The cup spring includes first set of L-shaped spring tongues (116) that are actuated by the actuator and second set of L-shaped spring tongues (106) for supporting on the housing to partially compensate increase of release force during wearing of the friction linings.
