The present invention relates to fiber tows consisting of fibers and a polymer matrix, in which, in addition, single-wall carbon nanotubes are introduced. The single-wall carbon nanotubes are located in the fiber composite materials according to the invention, homogeneously distributed in the intermediate spaces between the fibers before. This results in an improvement of the mechanical properties of the fiber composite materials is achieved.
