The controller (200) sets a gear ratio of a transmission (110), for abutting an input torque, an input power and/or an input speed of an input shaft (130) of the transmission. The input torque, the input power and/or the input speed of a maximum size is permanently not exceeded, when the input torque, the input power and/or the input speed satisfies a predetermined trigger condition. The predetermined limit of the maximum size differs by a range minimum of 0.75 and maximum of 1.5.
