The belt (4) is partially made of plastic, and is provided with an insulating strip (22) at the edges facing a heated roller (5). The belt is formed as a closed loop, where the insulating strip is thinner or thicker than a fibrous web (2). The insulating strip is exchangeable and is glued on the belt. An independent claim is included for a belt assembly for treating a moving fibrous web, particularly a paper or board web in a calender.
