An illumination device for illumination of the tubular internal space includes LED tubes (5), where the lining of the tubular internal space is transparent. The LED tubes are attached for illuminating the transparent lining of the tubular internal space, where a coating is provided to the transparent lining. A control unit (6) is formed to switch the LED tubes time-dependently and/or by external control.
