A drainage-control system (9) is used for signal generation for a drainage system (8) for use in a drainage line for guiding a liquid from a ventricular of a patient. Furthermore, the evaluation device (12) is a wave-phase extraction module (15) for determining a starting instant and an end time point a to the heart rate synchronous intracranial pressure-wave. Finally, the evaluation device (12) is a waveform analysis module (16) having a shape of the intracranial pressure-wave between the certain initial and end point in time of a given waveform of a plurality of waveform-candidate, which in the waveform-candidate memory (17) are stored. A control signal-generation module (21) of the control system (9) is connected to the evaluation device (12) and generates a drainage-control signal in signal communication with the aid of an assignment result of the waveform analysis module (16) of the evaluation device (12). The result is a control system, with which the most precise possible draining of the ventricular in each case only takes place when it is actually required to be medically.
