The relay (100) has contact bolts (116, 118) connected with each other over a movable contact bridge (110) during actuation of the relay. The contact bridge comprises a main contact transmitter (114) i.e. flat contact plate, where the relay is provided with a resilient pre-contact head (112) i.e. spring element, that connects the contact bolts before the main contact transmitter during the actuation of the relay. The pre-contact head includes a contact element that co-operates with the spring element, where the pre-contact head is arranged on the main contact transmitter. An independent claim is also included for a contact bridge.
