The device has an individually formed shell (3) opened on a distal side, and a universal attachment for closing the distal side of the shell. The attachment has a recess for insertable components. The attachment has a retaining element, and a positioning element (3.1) is formed corresponding to form and position of the retaining element and arranged at the shell such that position of the attachment is defined during closing of the shell. A locking connection is formed between the shell and the attachment, and the positioning element has a rod (3.2) projecting from the shell. An independent claim is also included for a method for manufacturing a shell for a device for manufacturing an ear adapter.
