The method involves fastening injection in a seat (68) of a piezoelectric injector by a valve needle (60). The potential difference between an electrical connection of a piezoelectric actuator and a ground terminal is monitored by the abutment of the valve needle in the seat. The piezoelectric actuator induced vibration force in the form of an oscillation in the potential difference. The piezoelectric actuator is connected to a first voltage pole through high-side terminal, and a low-side terminal is connected to a second voltage pole. Independent claims are included for the following: (1) a computing unit of motor vehicle injection system; (2) a computer program for determining injection end of injection event in piezoelectric injector; and (3) a machine-readable storage medium storing program for determining injection end of injection event in piezoelectric injector.
