The two-stroke swash plate motor has a housing (2), an output shaft (10) with an associated inclined plate (11) and a cylinder (12), which has a combustion chamber and an intake chamber. A piston (4) is arranged in the respective cylinder, where a piston rod (6) is provided for transmitting the driving force generated in the combustion chamber by the piston. The cylinder has a temporarily closeable inlet (21) in the region of a suction chamber, where the inlet is closable independent of the piston position in the cylinder.
