The pump has a pump piston (1) guided in a guide bore (2) of a hollow cylinder (3) in a specific stroke. A plunger assembly (4) is connected with a support of a cam or eccentric shaft. A sealing arrangement (5) i.e. rod seal, is arranged within the guide bore at an axial distance from the leak hole. A leakage bore (6) opens through a guide bore that radially expands an annular groove (7). The guide bore is provided with a sealing surface of an annular gap seal. The guide bore is divided into a first guide portion (8) and a second guide portion (9).
