The gear box (1) has gearwheels (Z2-Z5) that are arranged on a countershaft (VW2) to form a gear stage each with gearwheel (Z10,Z11) of a transmission input shaft (EW2). The gearwheels (Z1, Z6, Z7, Z8) are arranged on the countershaft (VW1) to form a gear stage with the gearwheel (Z9) on the transmission input shaft (EW2). The gearwheels (Z14-Z16) are connected on a transmission input shaft (EW1) and second countershaft (VW2) is connected with the countershaft (VW1).
