Connecting a turbine wheel with a shaft at a joining point, comprises (i) providing the turbine wheel comprising first contact surface, an intermediate layer comprising a second contact surface and the shaft comprising a fourth contact surface, (ii) arranging the intermediate layer in a relative position between the turbine wheel and the shaft, and (iii) stimulating a relative movement between the turbine wheel and the shaft in the joining point by mechanical oscillation. The second contact surface is arranged facing in the region of the joining point of the first contact surface. Connecting a turbine wheel with a shaft at a joining point, comprises (i) providing the turbine wheel comprising first contact surface, an intermediate layer comprising a second contact surface and the shaft comprising a fourth contact surface, (ii) arranging the intermediate layer in a relative position between the turbine wheel and the shaft, and (iii) stimulating a relative movement between the turbine wheel and the shaft in the joining point by mechanical oscillation. The second contact surface is arranged facing in the region of the joining point of the first contact surface, and the third contact surface is arranged facing in the region of the joining point of the fourth contact surface. The turbine wheel and the intermediate layer, and the shaft and the intermediate layer are pressed against each other in the joining point with a contact pressure for connecting the first contact surface and the second contact surface, and the third contact surface and the fourth contact surface on the joining point by a cold-welding process. Independent claims are also included for: (1) a device (100) for connecting the turbine wheel with the shaft at the joining point comprising a first device (102) for providing the turbine wheel, the intermediate layer and the shaft, a second device (104) for arranging the intermediate layer in the relative position between the turbine wheel and the shaft, and a third device (106) for stimulating the relative movement between the turbine wheel and the shaft in the joining point by mechanical oscillation; and (2) a computer program product with program code for controlling and/or implementation and/or activation of the steps of the above mentioned method, when the program product is run on the device.
