The plunger has a first sleeve-shaped plunger part (42) guided on a roller shaft (40) through a receptacle (44). A roller is supported on a second sleeve-shaped plunger part and over the roller shaft. Drive devices (14, 16) are inserted into the first plunger part. The roller shaft is arranged between the drive devices and faced away from a through-hole that is formed between an inner surface of the first plunger part and an outer surface of the second plunger part. The first plunger part and second plunger part are provided with an aperture (52) and a retainer. An independent claim is also included for a pump.
