The fuel high-pressure pump has a pump housing which has a cover section (32), and a pressure damper (34) for damping the pressure peaks in a low-pressure region of a fuel system. The pressure damper is arranged in the cover section. The cover section is manufactured from plastic in a partial manner. the cover section has two plastic half-shelves (38). The pressure damper has a membrane cell or an elastomer arranged to the cover section.
