The device has a holding unit for holding and transporting the energy store cell (2), and is equipped with an arrester contact (3). The bending unit is provided for flexing the arrester contact of the energy store cell. The bending unit is provided with a fixing unit (6) for fixing a first portion of the arrester contact, and a bending portion (13) for contacting a second portion of the arrester contact. The bending portion is movable against the fixing unit, in order to flex the second portion in relation to the first portion of the arrester contact.
