The lower connections are partially separably and deformably designed in case of exceeding of threshold loads by a person sitting on the seat during collision of a motor car. Left and right upper connections (7, 8) withstand the loads so that the backrest is pivotable and deformable during collision around a virtual axis and/or an actual axis in a region of the upper connections. A backrest shell (11) is integrally formed. Is made of carbon fiber reinforced or glass fiber reinforced plastic.
