The arrangement has a casing that comprises an actuator which is connected with a control unit (106). The control unit is provided for controlling the actuator based on the signal of a vibration sensor and an inductive proximity sensor which detect a gap width of a discharge accelerator (96) and/or an envelope circle of the paddles. The actuator is operable to adjust the gap of the discharge accelerator to a predetermined size based on the sensor signals. An independent claim is included for a forage harvester.
