The machine tool guide device (10) has a guide element (16) which is movably mounted relative to a stop unit (14). The guide element is formed in rolls. The guide element is provided with two relatively movable guide segments (18,20). A segment fuser unit is provided with a fixing element. The fixing element is arranged with a counter-fixable element on one side of the guide segments. The stop unit is provided with housing (48) to receive the guide element which is provided with a spiral-shaped receiving recess (50). An independent claim is included for a machine tool system.
