Data transmission terminal, agent program, location estimation system and location estimation method

A system includes multiple communication terminals and a management server is provided to provide a system capable of estimating a location of a communication terminal without any additional new hardware, prior registration or management of Location data of each node or any change in a network configuration is required, and to provide a communication terminal to be used for the system. An agent program is installed on each data transmission terminal. The data transmission terminal includes a connection judgment unit 30, a terminal data transmission unit 31, a data transmission mode changing unit 32, a radio wave intensity measurement unit 34, and a measurement result transmission unit 35. The connection judgment unit 30 judges whether the data transmission terminal is connected to a wired LAN. When the data transmission terminal is connected to the wired LAN, the terminal data transmission unit 31 sends terminal identification data including an IP address to the management server to cause the management server to generate location data. Upon receiving a mode change command, the data transmission mode changing unit 32 changes a mode to cause the data transmission terminal to serve as a PAP. The radio wave transmission unit 33 transmits a carrier wave as a PAP. When the data transmission terminal is not connected to the wired LAN, the radio wave intensity measuring unit 34 measures an intensity of the carrier wave from the PAP. The measurement result transmission unit 35 sends a measurement result to the management server to cause the management server to estimate location data.
