The invention relates to a mobile carrier system for at least one sensor element designed for non-destructive testing, which is an inexpensive, flexible solution for testing objects under test with convexly curved surfaces, which are preferably elongated and approximately cylindrical. The carrier system according to the invention is intended for testing test objects which at least predominantly consist of ferromagnetic material and have a convexly curved surface. For this purpose, two first rollers, whose axes of rotation are aligned parallel to one another and arranged at a distance from one another, are attached to a frame. The distance between the first two rollers can be changed by means of a linear drive, and one of the first two rollers is attached to a slide that is movable perpendicular to the axes of rotation of the first two rollers and guided in the frame. The first two rollers each have a drive for lifting and lowering the first rollers, with which the first rollers can be moved towards the surface of the test object or in the opposite direction. Two pairs of second rollers, the axes of rotation of which are each aligned parallel to one another and perpendicular to the axes of rotation of the first rollers, are fastened to the frame between the two first rollers. At least one pair of the second rollers has a rotary drive. A permanent magnet for holding the carrier system on the test object and at least one sensor element designed for non-destructive testing can be attached to the frame.
