The pressure medium operated swing motor (1) has a cylinder (3) with ribs, which are extending axially on the inner diameter, where the ribs close end-sides of two covers (11,13). A motor shaft (7) is provided with blades having the similar axial extent as the ribs of the cylinder. A connecting device is made of an open channel, which is opened at deactivated swing motor and is reduced in its effective cross-section at a defined tilt angle. A single working chamber is provided with a pressure responsive air intake valve.
